Converting your home or office to LED lighting has never been simpler. Master LED lightbulbs, from Dutch electronics giant Philips, offer light quality and energy savings that can’t be matched by incandescent or halogen bulbs.

The Master series utilizes 7-watt Luxeon Rebel LEDs, which Philips states are the smallest surface mountable power LEDs available, and they produce a clean white light. Philips promises energy savings of 80% compared to incandescent or halogen bulbs of comparable brightness, and projects a lifespan of up to 45,000 hours per bulb. And although the Master LED bulbs are significantly more expensive than traditional bulbs, a year’s worth of reduced energy costs can pay for the difference in a high-use setting.
The Philips Master LEDs are available in E27 bulb form (the standard “Edison” bulb found in most common light fixtures) as well as GU10 accent bulbs and NR63 spotlights. The LED lights generate virtually no heat compared to incandescent or halogen bulbs, and they produce no ultraviolet or infrared radiation, which makes them a versatile lighting option for a wide range of applications. And finally, they contain no mercury or lead, so they avoid the waste disposal problems faced by compact fluorescent bulbs.

The Philips Master LED bulbs are currently available in Europe, and they are expected to reach the US market by this summer.

I would like LEDs that produce the same kind of warm light an incandescent produces. What LEDs are most like that?
Check out EarthLEDs or Geobulbs.
Costco has the best deal now on LED lights and they look just like incandescent warm light. I bought a pack of 3 for $15
For that price they are most likely CFLs not LED lights.
Everyone should check out the message by Sol in the link below. It is very thorough.

I got the same deal at Costco, and yes, they are LED for the best price EVER!
They are approx. 40 watt equiv. candelabra bases, that use 1.5watts.
This vastly reduced my dining room usage.
YES they are Warm (yellowy) white light…
can led bulbs be fitted to exsisting normal bulb fittings or is there any seperate holder for led bulbs???
Led bulbs get better every six months
Most other common bulb types are also available in LED form: MR-16 track lights PAR 30 and 38 spot lights, and fluorescent tube replacements. And these are available in U.S., not just Europe.
